A prominent law firm in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, is seeking a qualified Regulatory Attorney to enhance their team. The firm specializes in defense practices across various domains, including health care, employment, corporate transactions, estate planning, and Worker’s Compensation. They maintain high standards for excellence in legal service delivery and represent clients across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. The offered salary ranges from $80K to $95K, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Health Care and Administrative Litigation Practices:
    • Draft and prepare legal documents such as complaints, petitions, motions, briefs, and discovery responses for administrative matters.
    • Ensure all documents are accurate, compliant, and aligned with client intentions.
    • Represent clients in administrative tribunals.
  • Health Care Regulatory:
    • Assist in preparing licensure applications and enrolling in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
    • Represent nursing facilities and personal care homes during survey and enforcement processes.
    • Aid clients in responding to surveys conducted by administrative agencies.
    • Provide litigation services for clients involved in disputes.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate closely with senior attorneys, paralegals, and clients.
    • Communicate legal advice clearly and empathetically.
    • Provide regular updates to clients regarding their cases.
  • Legal Research and Analysis:
    • Stay informed about changes in laws affecting the firm's clients.
    • Analyze complex legal issues, especially those related to estates and trusts.
    • Utilize WestLaw for legal research.
Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to practice law in Pennsylvania, with preference given to those admitted in multiple mid-Atlantic jurisdictions.
  • 2-5 years of experience in health care regulatory law, particularly in long-term care.
  • Litigation experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and precision in drafting legal documents.
  • Strong analytical skills for evaluating client situations.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain legal concepts clearly to clients.
