Key Responsibilities
As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer II, you will:
  • Perform audits and tests on software products according to documented test plans and procedures.
  • Debug and characterize defects, documenting detailed configurations and passing/failing test case descriptions for evaluation reports.
  • Maintain documentation of test operations and provide reports to the Site Manager as required.
  • Develop and execute software test plans, automated scripts, and programs to ensure quality standards.
  • Coordinate, secure, and maintain test environments to support testing activities.
  • Test and validate software updates for compatibility and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to data transfers, storage, and system communication.
  • Conduct occasional visits to client locations for onsite system analysis and support.
  • Collaborate with software development and operations teams to address and resolve technical issues.
  • Create or update documentation for new or existing processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Support internal and external customers with data queries and system troubleshooting.
  • Write and manage RFSSs (Request for Software Services) and Test Incident Reports (TIRs) as needed.
  • Assist in defining and reviewing site software specifications and developing operational procedures.
Your Typical Day Includes:
  • Attending meetings to coordinate QA activities and communicate findings.
  • Testing and validating new gaming software updates to ensure system compatibility.
  • Collaborating with technical teams to address operational needs.
  • Troubleshooting communication issues between devices and systems (training provided).
  • Documenting and updating test procedures and operational processes.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Associate degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
Experience:
  • 2-5 years of related experience in software testing, quality assurance, or a similar field.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency with SQL, DB2, CLI, and query tools (such as AQT).
  • Familiarity with MS Office, Windows 7/10, Windows Server 2012, Linux, and VMware.
  • Basic knowledge of networking systems (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet) and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in debugging software, performing audits, and writing test standards/procedures.
Framework Knowledge:
  • Understanding of SEI, CMM, or ITIL frameworks is a plus.
